As we were new to MoHos we decided not to purchase a sun canopy when we ordered our Adamo (which we love). We can’t now find a supplier to fit one due to demand.
can anyone recommend a canopy which isn’t attached to the MoHo permanently as a temporary solution for this summer?

I used a sail shade on a previous caravan but that had an awning rail. Something similar using vacuum lifting handles to "attach" to the motorhome would work.... plus two poles with guys. However I wouldn't leave it out in anything than calm weather.

Never bother now with a wind out awning. We have one of these pop up Quest.

If you want something small when packed away then we used one of these for our PVC. Used some bungy/shock cord to attach to any available anchor points on the roof of the van and the other side to the included poles. Packs away to something the size of a shoe box. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/multi...shelter-fresh/_/R-p-312174?mc=8572388&c=WHITE

Also had a pop up shelter like above which was useful when we were staying somewhere for a few days.

Plenty of options :)

We have an awning but also carry a Decathlon day tent, much stronger than the Quest, 3 sides roll back and the 4th has a mesh screen. Always carry it in the van but only use it at festivals & rallies as when touring only ever stop for one or two nights.

I have been trying to purchase a Quest Screenhouse 4+4 , can't get one anywhere.

Many people have looked at mine and looking online they seem to be in short supply.
Been on the Quest website today and its not showing as a current product,,, Maybe they have discontinued them. :(

We also have a quest pop up. Excellent product and cheaper than an attached wind out awning.

I thought the same as the OP, so didn't bother with a wind out awning on my PVC and bought a Quest.
However, I found as well as shading from the sun, it also 'shades' from any breeze - which on very hot days, I found being inside to be very stifling & stuffy.

So now, I also have a wind out awning

Sorry to change the subject ginge tourer. We’ve been waiting for our new Adamo 75-4DL since May still haven’t had a definite delivery date yet.Just wondering what make Adamo you’ve got and the pros and cons you have found whilst you’ve had yours.

I replaced my Quest just a couple of months ago. I got the mark2 version as didn’t want the new style (green) with the sewn in waterproof sides. Still think they are the best thing since sliced bread and mine has hosted a good few games nights recently.

We have a 4I and love it. Yes there are snags which are being sorted but after 68 days continuous use from new I would expect the odd teething problem! Currently with dealer & Bailey being sorted (water sensor and shower draining are the main 2 issues). If you want to read a lot of negativity join Bailey Motorhome Owners group on Facebook. Thanks for your reply ginge there’re always teething problems at the start doesn’t matter if it’s a new motorhome, car or anything always a little glitch but yours don’t sound major which is good.Apparently ours is built according to Bailey but waiting on components so half built me thinks.Hope you have hours of enjoyment out of yours.
Cheers Wayne & Lisa

If you're willing to stick a length of awning rail on the side of your MH, then I can definitely recommend the Dometic Sunshine AIR PRO 300 Canopy
Its designed for caravans, but works well on MHs too with plenty of clearance for the door. Quick and easy to put up and take down (much easier than our previous tarp & poles), and stands up to strong winds too (y)

Definitely on sale
Type the item number in to EBay search bar

Definitely not...
We are talking about the 4+4 version. The long rectangle shape.
All those listings are for the square and hexagonal versions.

I have just had email off my local stockist who supplied mine and they confirmed the 4+4 has finished 👎

For future consideration, I'd think long and hard before permanently sacrificing nearly 35kg of your limited payload fitting a wind out sun canopy.

I have and use both. When it’s very hot I use the wind out awning as a sunshade with a sun sail attached.
