We're selling our motorhome but the insurance policy will run out before I deliver the vehicle to the new owner. The current insurance provider doesn't do short term insurance.

Anyone got any recommendations for short term cover ( a month at most) before I start the joy of trawling the interweb for quotes..?

I looked around for temp car insurance as I only wanted it for a month while I sell it, the price I got from various sites was around £100 less then my yearly quote so I got a full years ins but got it on monthly payments so when the car is sold I just cancel it and hopefully be quids in….😎

Good point. I did wonder if that might be the case and most only charge around £25 or so for amendments, etc.

Try NFU they don't charge for changes etc so buy a year then cancel when you sell. Ipswich office are good.

The new owner will have insurance in place before / on delivery date. Can you not ask them to collect ? Even if you offer to cover some / all reasonable travel expenses, it'll be cheaper than you taking out short term insurance, and your travel expenses home.

But the op will still need to insure it until it's collected in case of theft etc?

There's a 3 week gap between the insurance running out and me delivering it (I'm on the Outer Hebrides) to the mainland to the buyer.
I'm tying that up with a trip south to collect a motorbike.

I was going to say the same.
Our policy ran out a couple of months before we changed vans so it was cheaper to change to NFU.

Dayinsure, depending on the value of your motorhome.
