Telescopic table leg

We have a 3-part cover on our telescopic table leg. The top two should be stuck together and slide down into the lower piece.
With the recent hot weather, the glue/tape has loosened and the three parts are now separate.
Anyone know how to re-afix the parts again, as it would seem to need to be done from the inside somehow.
