Hi, not exactly a beginner but can anyone give recommendations for a telescopic brush (the type you attach a hosepipe to) for Dan to clean the roof. The one we had previously was hopeless as the water just escaped at the join? Or any other methods to clean it. Many thanks.

I have one of the brushes I think you're talking about, widely available at motorhome and caravan shops, and had the same problem of water gushing out of the hose connector.

However upgrading the hose connector from a regular plastic one to a brass connector made all the difference.

It might be worh your while trying that before buying another brush.

Thank you will give that a go (y)

If you are going for the broom head brush with hose attached, get one that has the bristles on the ends too. Cleans better and softer on the things you hit whilst using it.

Any brush out on a 3m pole with water running through it will be difficult to control, particularly used on the sides. PLEASE don't ask me how I know.:gum:

 He has used them before, its just we were wondering if there was 1 out there that doesn't leak at the hose connector. Will try the above recommendations when we (eventually) get the van home (y)

I don’t bother attaching the hose anymore to ours.
Hose off the dust then
I use a large square plastic tub filled with the bubbly stuff.
Hose off.
I use a bucket to wash it, then connect the hose to rinse

I accept water is going to go everywhere except on the van. Take appropriate precautions and wear a dry suit

More years ago than I care to remember. I had one of the gardenia ones, originally for cleaning the conservatory roof. When the brush wore out the problem was getting a brush head. Full brush, alloy stem extension stem seriously secure connector (y) Ok.? But a brush head?. No!.
