Has anyone attempted an upgrade on a Telco Force HD CI+?

OK - I am trying to do a channel upgrade on a set-top box connected to an Oyster satelite dish. I believe the BBC and ITV have changed satelite settings and I can no longer recieve those channels. I have been assured that my set-top box needs upgrading (it is a Telco Force HD CI+). My question is has anyone attempted to to do a similar upgrade using a USB Stick as I am having some trouble with it.
