Technical radio replacement issue

Good Afternoon

Today my son is attempting to change my radio/ audio in the motorhome.
Autotrail Tracker 2008 on Fiat Ducato.

Replacing the (probably) original with something more up to date.

He has experience in doing this with cars but the bracket/fascia thing has created a problem it seems.

The existing fitting doesn’t easily exchange with the new one.

Any suggestions to solve the problem appreciated.

Hacksaw, multi tool, dermal.
Cut the middle bar out - maybe some at the back as well.

Cut out the middle piece, and then a double din will fit in.

I did mine years ago you have to cut away the plastic to get the cage to fit.
