Tech3 are to split from Yamaha at the end of this season. I wonder who will supply the engines for next year?
Also Syahrin is to replace Jonas Folger for this year.

They must have someone lined up already, I would think

In a interview early last week they said they had a offer they could not refuse and had been waiting for the offer, but wouldn't say who but they are looking forward to 2019.

KTM needs a second team, i imagine that Tech3 are paying a fair whack to lease the Yamaha's and perhaps the fact that Rossi and Vinales have had a less than stellar season last year on the 2017 bikes may have been a factor. A friend of mine was chatting to Zarco on the way back from the first test , and he confirmed they wouldnt be taking the new bike .

KTM is a good option, its not far off, and with twice the bikes out there, it will only get better quicker. And i'm guessing it will be a bunch cheaper.

I didn’t see that coming, but I rather like it. To be fair to KTM, they are still relative newbies in this class but they are making progress. Now to capture a “name” to ride for the factory team in a season or twos time...

Also , with Valentino coming up to the end of his career, and having the VR46 team well established, he needs somewhere to place his riders in MotoGP too..

Watching Chequered Flag on BTS this afternoon, Neil Hodgson said the satellite Yamahas will be going (given?) to Rossi's Sky/VR46 team after 2020...

Without giving too much away I think Tech 3 might be regretting opting for KTM next year.

I'm not sure Herve had any other choice :(

Which is a shame, I really like him (y)
