Taking Dogs to Morroco.UK Titre Test

Can anyone help.I am going to Morocco in December and have been told that the UK Rabies Titre Test Certificate is not valid and a certificate obtained in the EU is required? Can any fellow travellers help with this.

Think you have to get it done in the EU and wait a few weeks for the results.

to get to the port to cross to Morocco your dog either needs an AHC or an EU pet passport. if you hold an EU pet pet passport then a UK titre test is not valid and must be completed in the EU.

does your dog already have an eu passport?

with a UK AHC it looks kinda complicated; this MAY! help

Then you only need to wait for the results and the appropriate number of days before crossing

Be aware the Vet does the test but the blood has to be sent off to a particular laboratory that issues the Titre certification via the Vet,this process can take anything from 3-4 weeks.

There has recently been a lot of discussion about this subject in the Animal Health Certificate group on Facebook. In theory, a titre test done in the UK at an EU-approved laboratory should be fine but people have been reporting problems with Spanish officials not accepting this.

I know Facebook is generally dross but there is a lot of useful info on this exact subject that may help you. Search the group for 'morocco titre test'.
