Hello again. Here I am again with yet another question...but I know you guys have owned vehicles like the one I'm asking about.
So an '05 Burstner tag axle. Are both rear wheels braked? Also are they discs or drums? As DH does all his own maintenance he said if they are, theoretically it'll be a nightmare to balance them. Please enlighten us Funsters.

Our rear brakes are discs for foot brake and drums inside them for hand brake. I believe all the cables and linkage have to be freed off and slack before you start and can be quite difficult to do. YouTube is your friend.

The footbrake on our 2005 Burstner Argos 748 were okay but the handbrake was non-existent and made driving it an absolute nightmare!

Thank you yet again Funsters. Being a former HGV driver and mechanic Colin is concerned as he knows what's involved sorting them out. After looking online at other tag axles for sale, an MOT history search shows up handbrake inefficiency issues, so it's obviously very common.
Our motorhome has gone to it's new home now so we are looking at what we can get to suit full timing with a good payload that isn't a tag axle.
