If you order the 440 heavy chassis to convert this comes as standard, can this be disconnected/turned off etc as limited to 56mph.

Has anybody done this?

I would imagine that it could be switched off or increased but will be done in a tamper-proof way, so would need to be an official garage procedure. Ask Peugeot.

When ordering tell them it is for private use & you want the 'flat out ' option that you are paying good money for. & no the tacho isn't needed either.
(y) Otherwise get something else.

Not sure if this info is of any help but our 2015 Peugeot boxer is equipped with cruise control incorporating a user operated variable speed limiter.

Reading this thread reminded me to post the attached link. Don't know how the price compares though.

If its registered as a commercial vehicle it has to have the limiter
But I understand 56mph is only for over 7.5 tonne
The limit for 3.5 >>>7.5 is 90 kmh
Not much more 3 mph
You could have it removed once it is convered and registered as a motorhome

OP is refering to the Tacho that records speed and hours driven for commercial vehicles over 3500k, which also limits the maximum speed to 90kmh.

How well insulated would it be & can you trust them ?
Most would have to be pulled out to run pipes&cables, eyc. Depends on price difference I suppose to a standard one.

Yes definitely not for me, I want to be sure its done correctly, there is nothing planned for the wires either as you say, wonder what it is insulated in behind the boards.

So what's the cost now a comparative van that isn't lined out?

I am leaning towards a Peugeot Boxer L4 H2 but can only get a 130bhp in the professional version with a lot of options as standard. If I want the 160bhp then I need to have a L4 H3 but it doesn't come in professional so a lot needs to be then added plus its got a tacho and speed limiter on.

Not sure about the Fiat prices.
