Since 2015, still learning
Mad professor moment. Sorry if it’s unhealthily stupid

Is there a switch on the market that can be used to switch the pv panel output from one controller to another without having to cover the panels?

I await a schooling😬

Any changeover switch that can handle the current will, you only need to switch one lead.
Thank you sooo much.
still think I need to go back to school or get a pro to do it

thanks again 👍👍

375 watts. Or do you need volts and amps info?

Hi Lenny. I am not convinced the OP needs a on-off-on switch. He is only changing the output from the panels over to another controller, so I would say a simple 3 terminal switch would suffice. I am happy to be corrected, as usual.

If was a case of finding something that would handle the DC current if switching while at full output. Difficult to establish DC switching current on a lot of the rocker type switches and most don't do the current rating as he will be switching over 20 amps.
The industrial rotary ones the DC up to 30v is normally the same as the AC rating.
Also better to disconnect from one before connecting to the other so that switch does both jobs.

Make sure you use a DC rated switch.

A simple dual battery bank switch will work well on DC. Blue sea and victron do the 48v rotary switches. That way will handle the panel voltage.
