Swift Escape 644
I'm hoping I've posted this in the correct place and someone can help me, I'm at my wits end.

I've been quoted £2200 to fit a new ECU. The ECU is £1100.
After the battery died, I put a new one on it and it wont turn over and start.
The AA put Eazi Start on it, it ran, then stopped running.
Theres a 'Check Fuel Filter' warning on the dash.
The padlock immobiliser goes off.
Theres no fuel pressure.
The ECU has been sent to Camco Automotive to check as they had it in for recoding, its been refitted, no error codes present now, but still wont run.

Despite providing the garage (Northern Truck & Van York) with a fuel filter, it hasnt been fitted.
There is fuel in the tank.

Its done 36k miles. I cant see that its fuel filter has ever been changed in
The diagnostic report is attached.

I really appreciate your help with this.
Thank you,

Clare

I think you need to take it to a trusted local garage.
A quick look on google shows ECUs for £200-400, certainly nowhere near £1100.
As for £1100 labour !?

What is the base vehicle? Ford, Mercedes, Fiat?

I think you would be better with an auto electrician.

The code appears to me to indicate that it is the fuel injection module, but obviously the error can also be the same for a wiring issue associated with the same systems.

And as above the labour charge looks ridiculous.

I spoke to another garage, a brand new ECU - part number 55261982 is £1022.69 plus vat directly from FIAT.

The rest is to remove it and run it on the diag again if it doesn work. I told them the ECU is just unscrewed and unplugged! Their diag is £180 plus vat! Its actually nuts. No idea where they get their figures from. Invoice attached.

I'm looking into recovery prices to take it to my mates garage, which I should have taken it to in the first place, but vI was told it needed to be a Fiat Professional Garage with the correct diag machine.
