Swift drop down bed issues

We are newbies - first nightcaway at the weekend!
We are having trouble both lowering and putting the drop down bed back up. It's currently up everywhere except one corner.
All the video demonstrations we've watched make it look really easy so what are we doing wrong that we're making such hard work of it all please?

Not a clue, at least it's a change from the usual about electric beds.
Any help out there, or is op sorted
