SW Scotland 1 Night Stopovers

Stayed there last year and had a lovely takeaway from the hotel.
Whilst sitting out at night in the pitch black just enjoying a drink, along came a bloke who went in the river for a swim!!! We only knew he was ok by following his head torch!! He reappeared after about 15 minutes in his ‘budgie smugglers’ and promptly walked off up the car park.
Hardy folks these Scots as the water must have been chuffin cold!🥴

Nice to see that will bear it in mind when we trip northwards.
Thanks for the heads up DumfriesDik

What does Malcolm know that we don’t?

I haven't stayed over at either place but I have been to both. They are off the beaten track but a great option if you're touring the area just outside Dumfries.

RobbyMClark - Aly1 was with me at the time so if you ever see her at your storage farm she will tell you all about our experience!

We have used both Caeverlock and Glencaple pier several times. I like Caeverlock as its an old CL so got full facilities. Quite interesting to watch the boar come in from the pier.
