The 270 day expiry was mentioned last year, Austria was the first to implement it, and later all EU adopted it. No idea if this applies inside EU for EU citizens as well, I was under impression it does.

Am I correct in understanding that the 270 day limit now extends to all of the EU? If so official references would ne nice.

If so we cannot be in Europe after 15th of July without having a fourth jab!

I too was worried this 270 day limit disrupting or preventing travel, however, this is from an article in todays Times travel section. I have highlighted in bold the key text.

All may not be lost for those who have had a booster?

Which countries have a vaccine expiry date?

EU member states
At the moment, different EU member states have different rules in place regarding vaccine-passport validity. However, the European Commission announced on December 21, 2021 that it would introduce new rules that would become binding across all member states.

The EU countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

Under the new rules, vaccine passports will expire exactly 270 days after the final dose of an accepted vaccine — this currently includes Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Novavax. Vaccine-passport validity can be extended for an as yet undetermined period of time through a booster jab; the European Commission is still reviewing data on how long the protection offered by booster jabs will last. Recent negative PCR Covid test results are also accepted.
