A newbie
I am fitting a Votronic 2075 Remote Control for Charger. This will be fitted on the outside of the electrics locker under a seat. The locker is constructed of 20mm ply. Once fitted the circuitry of the control will protrude into the locker and needs to be protected.
Dimensions of the control are:

Dimensions: 85 x 47 mm
Assembly Dimensions: 65 x 35 mm
Built in Depth max: 16 mm

I am struggling to find something suitable to fit as a shallow surface box, with cable access, to protect the rear of the control. Does anyone have any suggestions or has fitted something similar?

If the control unit is protruding 16mm into the 20mm thick locker front surely all you need is a thin non-conductive cover with suitable holes for the wiring to pass through attached to the back of the 20mm locker material. In the Votronic instructions they suggest 3mm plywood or plastic.

I used a take-away meal container, suitably clean, cut oversize and glued onto the wooden structure. I cut a chamfered groove to allow the cable to run without distorting the plastic cover.
