I would appreciate recommendations on what preparations I should make to leave my camper in storage for four months over the summer. It will be in a single garage protected from the elements. The maximum high temperature outdoors will be 30 and the low 18. There is power available and I intend to plug it in. I will empty the fresh, grey and black tanks, empty and open up the refrigerator and leave some windows ajar for ventilation. I have a switch on the passenger seat to turn off the leisure batteries, should I turn this off? Will they still stay charged if I do? Is it necessary to drain my Combi 6E and the water pump? Is there anything else I am forgetting? Thanks for any help.

No need to drain the boiler and pump or the fresh water system, just flush through with fresh water when you return. Leaving it on hook up should mean that your batteries stay charged - but only if both vehicle and habitation ones are trickle charged by your system. Even though in a garage, I imagine conditions of insurance say keep locked and alarmed.
One thing to prevent is mice getting in - not too much of an issue in summer - but do a deep clean of food cupboards, don’t leave any food in them and vacuum nooks and crannies where crumbs could hide.

Thanks, I'm not sure if my system is equipped with a trickle charger. How can I tell?

If its fitted with a plug in (Electric Hook-Up) cable then it should have a charger built in to top up the hab batteries and usually the main vehicle battery too (just plugging in the hook-up cable will do this). depends if it is a proper manufacturer’s camper/moho or a custom build by someone.

If it is the Adria in your avatar then I would expect both batteries to be charged on hook up.

If birds can get into the garage put a few old bed sheets over the roof.
Years ago my father stored a caravan in a large shed but during the summer when the birds were nesting the roof got covered in crap.
it was very difficult to remove and some of it damaged the paint finish.
A few old sheets solved the problem.

Personally I wouldn't leave it on hook up for 4 months if it's unattended for all that time. What if there was an electrical issue that caused a fire? I'd be inclined to disconnect the leisure and the starter battery. There might be a problem then in that it will not be alarmed, so might need to check the insurance implications of that.

Yes, it's a brand new Adria Compact Supreme DL. So it should be okay to leave it plugged in, correct?
