Our van is now 8 years old and we have had it from new. There is just one small issue that we just cannot seem to sort out. The Remi Blinds on the windows where we sleep (twin bunks over garage) are now getting a lot of black marks which we have not found a way of removing. I think our breath at night may be the cause as they are not really showing on the rest of the blinds. Obviously we need to have the windows on air vent more than we have but does anyone have any suggestions (other expense of replacing blinds) on how we can clean these?

Try steaming ( with a machine, not personally 😱 ) to lift the grime and wipe off gently with a cloth.

I haven got a clue if this would work or ruin your blinds but it is what I would do.

Knock up a 5 to 10 per cent solution of Milton into a spray bottle. Set it for mist then try one area lightly and return an hour or 2 later to complete the job or panic

I don’t think you’ll get them out, I believe that they have now stained the material and far short of replacing them, I don’t think you’ll manage it.

I have 1 annoying stain on the biggest roof blind and I can’t shift that single one, so think you might be fighting an uphill battle.

Wonder if they can be dismantled and rotated 🤷🏼‍♂️

Let us know if you do find a solution please.

Thank you all. I do also feel that it is a losing battle but thought I would see if anyone had managed to remove them. Not sure about the steaming as can’t make up my mind about what the fabric is. Feels a bit like some sort of paper. Will leave well alone I think.
