I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Jim.
Genuine question, I was just reading through the resent post about someone requiring help with a charity van.
If the charity use their free posts up what would your view be? we had a thread not to long ago where someone was wanting some advise and was eventually frightened of because of a bit of a debacle about subs. Different circumstances I know but still an interesting scenario.

I have asked before but got no response, a couple of years ago a fund was started on here for if someone wanted a one off financial help, now I don't know if this is still available or if it all got used up, if it did would anyone be interested in starting it up again, I would be quite willing to donate if it was, I know it needs a lot of organising and that but it was a worthwhile scheme.
This is not charity in the common sense but just a fund if anyone is suddenly out of cash.

Charity idea fair enough.

But I'd expect most charities to have enough in the coffers to pay the small amount here for the benefit it gets.
Then there's the headache of them proving they are a charity to sort the wheat from the chaff ..what charity are you...is it one that is supported already...etc..where does it stop.

Edit: probably a better idea to have a funster charity that can be donated too ??

IIRC when the charity fund idea was first suggested after we helped a fellow funster in temporary difficulty, the practicality was too difficult what with liability, trustees and accounting.
