Lots now
Our morelo had an issue with the aircon (not habitation).
We have used northern commercials in Brighouse (a iveco specialist) before for a under warranty software issue. Wse had them look at the non working aircon, it had part of the aircon missing, no gas and it's got a short they can't find.
After sitting in the worst seats possible for most of yesterday we have had a lovely time overnight in Leeds staying in a very nice hotel eating lovely food.
Full cooked breakfast this morning and a mouch around the shops.
I've always been of the mind to just get on with it and take the good from the bad.
Hopefully we get better news later.
Anxious in Leeds 😁😁

The previous owner of our Palace had issues with the cooling fan not working, overheating issues, AC also stopped working and was kaput, whole new AC unit was fitted I believe (not cheap) I think they thought that had fixed the overheating problem but it reared it’s head when we we’re away last year, long story short the German garage installed a new barrafaldi clutch (didn’t work) and we got our money back, another garage in England couldn’t find the problem, I was sick of worrying every time we came to a hill if the fans would kick in.

I decided to trace the cabling back, I’d already done this once and didn’t find anything, anyhow the cooling fan cabling was pulled so tight behind the main wiring loom and the engine block it had chaffed the insulation away, really difficult to see and an absolute pig to strip back into the main wiring loom and re tape up, seems to be working fine now🤞🤞

So has this short blown the AC as had possibly happened with our previous owner?

Hope you get it sorted, I hate anything electrical especially if they’re intermittent

Oh no, how awful for you I hope they get it fixed soon, the shopping will be more expensive than the repair.
Seriously though, I hope it's a quick fix once they have traced it.
Good luck x

You should go to Sherwood Commercials just off the D road, Stoke. They are a lot closer. I go there with our Fiat Hymer for any software updates etc.

Back at the garage and they are putting everything back together. They found the issue, trouble is it requires a part that is coming from Italy and it will be 2 weeks.
Its drivable though.
That scuppers going into spain over Easter. Looks like we need to find something in the uk till then.

we had an air con problem on our Iveco it turned out to be a £20 pressure switch but Iveco said it was unavailable and we would have to order the full pipe with fittings🤬 I put the part number from the switch into Google it turned out to be common on Alfa and Opel cars had a new switch in 2days and a local air conditioning guy fitted it in two minutes checked the gas all good from then on.

Mr porky

I used this same company when I had an Iveco. They have a satellite place in Manchester. Really good service, considering you are just down the road from me might be useful in the future. Much cheaper too.

😳😱 wow, at least it’s sorted though, now you can travel again 👍
This is true.
We have an appointment in Doncaster on Friday with premuim motorhomes for a couple of repairs, nothing serious just cosmetic and adjustments.
Then catch up with family and friends before sunny Spain.

Seville at the minute and it’s nice and sunny, and hot 👍

Stop teasing, currently in Liverpool which is dank and wet. Great night with friends though.

Why not go to Italy, then you can change the part straight away if it doesn't work?
