Morning all , I have a problem with my strikeback /growler system and will ring Vanbitz on Monday to see if they can help but in the mean time I thought I might see if any funsters can help . The alarm is set and the blue light is flashing every 3 seconds or so but the fob and the spare won’t switch it off, any ideas what to do. I have used the search facility on the forum but can’t see any help.

Hi Howard,

Sorry you have this problem. I have the Strikeback system and I have to say it worries me sometimes how difficult it is to turn off. You have to really press hard and deep, and I do wonder if this is designed to prevent accidental pressing or if the fob wears out quickly.

I do rotate the fobs regularly, and when I get home (I'm in Norway now) I will purchase a third fob as a further safeguard.

In the meantime if you can disarm as David and Sally have suggested i would do that. Hope Vanbitz can help you, but would be interested in any issues/developments you find with this for our own knowledge.

Thank you I will post the outcome as soon as it’s resolved.

Right , new batteries fitted in both fobs .one of them has switched the alarm off but not before setting the alarm off . I can’t reset or try to as I don’t want to annoy the neighbours anymore then I have too if it goes off. Tomorrow’s problem will be to try and get a code for the alarm reset but will speak to Vanbitz tomorrow . Thanks everyone for your help 👍

I have been on to Vanbitz this morning I cannot recommend Ash and Nick enough even though they where dealing with a complete Luddite they where patient and talked me through the whole reset process. Still having a problem with one fob and will speak to them again when they are not quite as busy . Fantastic company to deal with, many thanks .👍
