The overhead lockers on our Bailey Autograph are great in operation: push them in and they raise on gas struts just like overhead lockers on a plane.
The problem is that a couple of them used to occasionally come open when driving (a known issue it seems)
My wife did not want me to take the easy option and fit some sort of extra catch or bolt so I came up with the design shown.
This used a Ā£1-shop clip with self adhesive felt pads added to avoid damaging the locker and another pad positioned so that, when in place, the door was unable to move inwards and release the catch - see the first two images.
The 3rd image shows an alternative design using a soft-grip clothes peg

We had the same problem with one of the lockers on our Adria.
(From your photo it looks like Bailey use the same catch).
I made a few adjustments but it still opened when driving on a rough road.
Replaced the catch (ebay) and have had no problems since.

I couldn't live with I would have to fit some decent catches to the doors.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a new van. šŸ¤£
Well, the solution suits us.
I posted just in case it was useful to anyone else.
If itā€™s not for you thatā€™s fine.

For some reason it is only 2 of our 4 lockers that were affected. The dealer replaced the catches under warranty (with the same design) but it made no difference, and I also tried adjusting the alignment, again with no improvement.
Was your eBay replacement a different design, and if so what?

put some stiff foam, eg. piece of the wall of pipe insulation between the door and the frame near the catch when travelling.

We have one that gets snotty and pops open on UK potholes., Only put in to travel. But you could glue a couple of bits each side the lock to make it look better if left in all the time.

No, the replacements were the same.
The first set I ordered were slightly different and wouldn't fit the same screw holes.
The second set I ordered came from Hong Kong and were exactly the same as what Adria had fitted.
The faulty one always worked, but would sometimes open when driving.
The replacement has been fine so far.
