Has anyone had dealings with this motorhome dealer, if so, How was it for you?

Haven't bought from them but have been happy with servicing, advice and some warranty work.

I would advise you to take extreme care. They are friendly, and can certainly "talk the talk". We have bought from them twice, but would never do so again.

Had a look around their site about 12-18 months ago, was not too impressed with their stock, or their presentation of it. Can't comment on service as nobody spoke to us or said hello.

Hi JFD
Care to expand?
New showroom so should be wider range of stock now.

Many Thanks for the info

Hi there,

My father is Steve Mouland, who founded Stewart Mouland Motorcaravans in 1985 with Gordon Stewart. He was then Managing Director until 2022, when his brother (my uncle) Nick Mouland took over as Director and still is now.
I've just had a little nose through the forum as I'm brand new here and saw this pop up as one of the results.

We have grown as a family business and re-built our new showroom and workshop (conjoined). We call it the big blue building. The showroom is large and spacious with upstairs offices, a comfortable waiting area and a kitchen for your tea's and coffee's. It's only just across the road from the old white office building and is now based where the old workshop used to be some years ago.

We supply a variety of used stock but also new vehicles by Swift.

We do still offer habitation servicing, fitting and warranty work.

We do try our best to pride ourselves within the workplace and offer a friendly service to anyone that comes into us and this equally applies to aftercare in our after-sales dept.

We try our best to keep stock clean and presentable fortnightly, as we are by the seaside and we've had a change up of staff but some old yet friendly and experienced, staff remain.

I hope this helps anyone reading this thread now or in the future. Please accept my apologies if this comes across as a sales pitch for the company, it is just a personal message for anyone who may have dealt with us before or who may intend to deal with us in future.

Old thread but thought I would just pop a comment here.

Any questions, please just ask :)

Declan

Good to hear from you and to have an update. We have many business owners (especially in the MH trade both vehicles and accessories) as active members on here and would love for you to join us.

You might want to check your company entry on the Dealers list here
(You have to download the spreadsheet, you are number 360 on the list)

Hi Declan,

Only advertising dealers can post here. Otherwise it would be a free for all with dealers and others with anything to sell popping in to say hello and getting free advertising among the largest group of motorhome enthusiasts on the internet (y).

Meanwhile, your company is in the database. No reviews yet. (y)

I bought from them once, possibly twice, can't definitely remember but was attended by Steve Mouland so it shows it was long ago.
Some friends of ours had the airbag light up on their 55 plate ducato. No one locally could even read the ecu, too old apparently. Seems Stuart moulland could as they still had the old tech. New module diagnosed & fitted for £800 if I remember correctly, just a few weeks ago. Hope it lasts!
Company seem very approachable & friendly.

I bought a new van from them years ago, must be over 20 years ago, without looking at our journal I can't be sure, I think it was an Auto-trail. It was a reasonable buying/part-ex experience, very friendly and helpful, no problems at all. Until the moment I left the dealership.

That was when I realised that it didn't matter how many thousands I just spent, they were too tight to put any fuel in it. As I drove out the gate, I noticed the fuel light. No worries though, there was a fuel station 30 yards away, just across the road. The engine shuddered and died 10 yards from the pumps!
