Hi Folks,

As an added DETERRENT to lowlifes who target motorhomes anyone on here fit a steering wheel clamp / Lock ?
Narrowed down to 2 possible units based online reviews etc. ( Disklok and Stoplok Pro ]but personal experience of both in use is invaluable as always.

We use a Disklok easy to fit and

take off also have a clutch pedal lock and wheel lock for use when we feel the areas a bit iffy.

Of the two listed then Disklok. None are 100% effective but the Disklok repeatedly comes out as the most difficult to defeat.

That said personally I found mine heavy and unwieldy so sold it and bought something else (not listed)

.....that would be my main concerns re: Disklok...heavy and awkward to store.
Could I ask which one not listed you settled on ?

On a Fiat I keep my disklok in the driver's door bin. It fits beautifully.

Does that not put strain on the connecting screws, especially on rough road?

........OBD lock ?..another useful deterrent?

Yes, it locks off your OBD port which thieves can use to bypass your immobiliser and start your van.
I also have a sticker on the cab door windows stating that the OBD is locked off.

Milenco. Some don't rate them because the leverage you could create to break the steering lock.

I got to the point where I wasn't always fitting the Disklok but now the Milenco is always used because it's so convenient to fit and remove. It did mark my wheel but I added a little mod which sorted that.

I got the silver version.

I've got a Stoplock Pro.

If the flashing blue lights don't deter him, then hopefully the bright yellow lock will. (And then if he still gets in, and past the alarm, the vehicle is immobilised and has a tracker.)

They're quite easy and convenient - easy to find a nook to keep it when it's not in use.

Another vote for Disklock, been using them for a few years on a number of vehicles.
