Stoplock Pro Elite Car Steering Wheel Lock HG 150-00 - Safe Secure Heavy Duty Anti-Theft Bar - Universal Fit - Includes 2 Keys and Carry Bag, Black/Yellow, 1 UnitStoplock Pro Elite Car Steering Wheel Lock HG 150-00 - Safe Secure Heavy Duty Anti-Theft Bar - Universal Fit - Includes 2 Keys and Carry Bag, Black/Yellow, 1 Uni

but am i unsure if it will fit as i bought the pro a couple of years ago and i had to return it as it would not clear the hirn enclosure on the wheel.

My concern with these sort of locks is that they only really act as a deterrent. Yes, I use one when parked up in the day or on a safe site but at home I use a Bulldog wheel clamp for overnight security. I have heard, but don’t have any evidence, that serious thieves will take a hacksaw to the steering wheel to remove the lock and cope with what is left.

Its mainly for a deterrent for our forthcoming trip to France.Hoping it will put any chancers off.I have a tracker system but I dont want to let it get that far😬

Steering wheel lock, wheel clamp, and drivers seat reversed and locked with custom fitted lock. It’s all about putting them off. I work on the principle that if a lock, alarm etc has been invented (and I include all alarms) then it can be ‘uninvented’. If you make your property harder to steal than others then thieves will take the path of least resistance.

You have a point! However my point was that I wouldn’t endorse any of them! I was trying to say that time is off the essence to a thief and a steering wheel lock on its own is not really sufficient, but that’s my opinion.

A friend of mine had one of the bar types when their van was nicked. They got the van back and I kid you not the toe rags that nicked it had cut a section out of the steering wheel to remove the lock, probably used a cordless disc cutter.

Stoplock Pro Elite for me. It fits nicely on a 2014 Ducato. It was a condition of my insurance that we had an approved steering wheel lock from the insurers list when we increased the value of the van.
