we are think about arranging a weekend meet at the 'famous' (locally at least :coolthumb Staxtonbury music festival in 2012.
Usually in july but no real details as yet, but will post them when they appear.
the last three years have been a total sellout which says a lot considering its only been running three years so far.
Not on a par with glastonbury but many local bands appear and the music is varied.....pop, rock, irish folk etc...until around midnight.
even a lone bagpiper this year for a couple of tunes :thumb:
large licenced beer tent on site (pub prices) and plenty of fast food choice.
camping fee this year was £10 per unit per night (all one price...tent, camper, RV etc) plus admission to the venue.
just 10 miles south west of scarborough.
as soon as i can see the organiser i'll see if they will set aside an area for RVOC/MHF.
as the field owner is my cousin and the compere is my son in law i might be able to get a camping fee discount.
the field is relatively flat, firm and well drained but some leveling may be needed.
no hookup but genny's should be ok within reasonable hours.
toilets are the portaloo variety so cassette dumping shouldnt be a problem but no RV black/grey dump.(but how much can you produce in a weekend )
