Hi everyone!

I'm a very patriotic Englishman and as a new comer to MHs, I was wondering if there are any events to celebrate England's Day?

All the best and happy touring.

Hi, I think there should be. probably a bit late to organise something and it clashes with the Peterboro' show, but maybe we should organise a big gathering under St George for next year. I'd certainly be up for it

Voxy usually arranges a Shakespeare's Birthday bash at Stratford. Don't know if he's doing one this year - we won't be able to go anyway, so I didn't bother asking. I know it's not St. George but at least the date tallies.

His name on here is Voxol51.

St Geo

St. George, the patron saint of England, Aragon and Portugal. According to the legend given by Metaphrastes the Byzantine hagiologist, and substantially repeated in the Roman Acta sanctorum and in the Spanish breviary, he was born in Cappadocia

Hi folks and a big thank you for your comments!!

Great idea for next year!! I'll be there .... i hope!

I'm not really bothered about all the background to Saint George, I'm just so privileged to have been born in the this wonderful land of England and so proud of all that's encompassed with St George..

I'll stop now......
