Not exactly a mh question as i am sure that it applies to lots of vehicles.

We have a 2001 ducato mh and unless we have wet weather the rubbers on the cab door windows shreak, particularly the drivers side when winding the window up.

last year i did put a little washing up liquid on them and that did seam to help for a while, but wondered if there was a known solution to this problem, short of changing the rubbers?

Is it the rubbers, or is it the internal winding mechanism?

If its the rubbers, then I'm with Alsatian. With a thin plastic probe, start at one end and ease the rubber slightly away from the glass, (inside first), similar to how you use a bicycle tyre lever. Then, sliding your probe along the length of the window, spray a small amount of silicone as you move the probe. If that doesn't work, do the outside.

If that doesn't work, then you make have to take the inside door panels off and lubricate the mechanism, but that is one of those jobs that can go spectacularly wrong so you might want to get a Fiat dude to do it.

The important bit with lubricating window rubbers is that a little bit of silicone spray goes a long way. Use the same to treat door rubbers and window seals around the motorhome
