4 Rossi
5 Millar
6 Morbidelli
7 Quatararo

Moto3 McPhee topped the free practice times then blew it in quali finishing 11th.
Not seen Moto2 yet.

Phew. I thought you were gonna tell us who won.

Our big hope is Lowes. The only one of our big three that got qualifying right.

McPhee and Crutchlow snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, big time, and made today very hard work for themselves.

But weather is rearing it's ugly head, it could get very interesting.

Free practice,
Moto3
top was McPhee
Moto2
Lowes was third
MotoGP
Marquez was top,
Vinales
Dovi
Crutchlow 13th.

Why do they persist with Simon Crafer for pit lane interviews? He has all the charm of a politician.

Moto3 result

1.Masia
2.Binder
3.Arbolino

McPhee ballsed it up again. Went from 11th to 14th to 1st then back to 12th before ramming another rider and coming off. Finished 20th. Tom Booth-Amos finished 18th.

Edit. McPhee has just been interviewed and it would appear that another rider cut across him on the back strait and hit his front wheel with his back wheel. This damaged his brakes and when they arrived at the next corner he had no rear brake and in an act of accidental retribution took the other rider out as well.

Much as I enjoy Moto GP (all classes)
Nothing and I mean NOTHING,
compares with the spectacle of the Isle of Man TT
everyone should get over there
it simply cannot be described

Result

1.Marquez
2.Rossi
3.Dovi

Cal had a drive thro for a jump start but recovered to 13th. He was the only one lapping at the same speed as Marquez for much of the race.

Even if he or anyone else had jump started surely a more appropriate penalty would be to have to take the penalty route on the designated corner.

Not for me I'm afraid, time trials don't have the excitement of proper racing.

The Irish road racing is a different matter though

I am lucky coz I love both sorts of racing.

Very harsh and the punishment certainly doesn't fit the crime.
But the punishment is clearly written down in the rules next to the listed crime

Quite, they must follow the rules. Imagine if CC had won, then the other teams saw the start, I'm sure they have complained. The rules must be 100% adhered to. The rules need changing, not the way they are followed.

The rules seem to have been rewritten to include a penalty loop on one of the corners. Why couldn't the rule have been changed to make taking this longer route the punishment for a jump start?

A big jump start could see them gaining many places. The loop would be a minimum punishment.

I don't think we've heard the last of this. Even if his wheel did move any advantage was thousandths of a second. A second or two penalty is all that is justifiable.
Quite agree-you might as well pack in when that happens!
