Peouget boxer Camper
I've got a 2002 Peugeot boxer camper van 1.9 diesel 270 MWB, I trying to get hold of a speedo sensor and small drive wheel for it, the engine has been changed at some point. But it drives ok, I put a cordless drill on the gear box end of the speedo cable and it's works at the dashboard end, but not at the gearbox end. How do I fix this problem
Many thanks

easier to get a gps speedo and much more accurate

Many moons ago I purchased a second hand Peugeot 1.9 diesel motorhome and soon after taking delivery the speedo packed up. The dealer was very good and sorted it out but I think he had to take the gearbox out to replace a nylon wheel or worm within the gearbox. Hope yours has an easier solution.

Mine passed MOT with GPS speedo (main speedo not working)
Interesting, from my understanding the MOT uses the "UK speedometer regulations".
A vehicle with no speedometer fitted, incomplete, inoperative, or has broken or missing switches will fail the MOT.
So from RogerIvy experience provided there is working speedometer be it a secondary one, though unless they road test they'll not know, it OK. Though thinking about it the brake test is carried out by the rollers driving the wheels, but engine running to provide servo/power assistance. So speedometer will not register speed.
Personally I would double check with preferred MOT provider before taking for test.
