Morning all , I am trying to contact speedcoat but can’t get through to the main office I guess they are busy at the show. Does anyone know another number I could try other than the main office. I am in north west so a number around here would be great but I will travel .
Thanks

That was the repairer Speedcoat recommended when i emailed them. Not had a quote yet but as i have a couple of small hairline cracks which i have filled with BT1 and resealed the tray i will see how it goes before spending £300+.

I thought about just bodging it myself with expanding foam and filler but it would be a bodge and it would always annoy me and it would probably go again as it’s gone around the plug hole . Hopefully it will be right for ever after the repair 🤷‍♂️

Just for anyone information , I have had the shower tray speedcoated . I pick it up tomorrow but talking to the man who has done it ,he was asking why we put the plugs in the shower tray and I explained that we use them to stop any smells from the waste tank coming into the motorhome. Bearing in mind it was both plug holes that had collapsed he explained that the actual plugs stood proud and when the duckboard was in place and stood on it put a huge pressure on the very thin plug holes🤔,so I guess we won’t be using the plugs anymore 🤷‍♂️. I will put a photo on when I pick it up tomorrow.

This is interesting , I have often wondered why people use duckbiards , I thought it was a fashion thing .I have considered getting one but after seeing your post will stick to using the shower tray and wiping after use. Are there any benefits to a duck board?

We don’t use the duckboard when we shower but on the Benimar 294 the shower is a walk through . You have to walk over one corner of the shower tray to get to the bedroom so it’s just ironically it’s there to protect the tray from shoes etc . 😁

A duckboard should in theory spread the load over a larger area and prevent cracking.
The above is a good example of how not to do it as the board should have been notched/shaped around the plug holes.
Ours is like this -

I guess that’s how it should be done and that makes sense now , but ours came from the factory like it is and you would think they would know 🤷‍♂️
