spare wheel wind up mechanism

spare wheel wind up mechanism just taken spare wheel off time to lubricate cable and mech.
With what squirty 3in 1 oil or Lithium grease, where for what?

What ever u use do it properly I spent a very hard 1 hour + with a cordless angle grinder cutting the carrier of the chassis at the side of the road after a blowout...spare had been off a year before.

Should add it's the cable that siezed

Just use ordinary grease, if the cable is seized best to replace it, and grease well before fitting.

Thanks gents not siezed at all just made a little noise coming down and a little dry to touch. Whilst there handbrake spitter had a squirt as well.

PS is there a lubrication point on the wind up mech?
