The postman deliver a Christmas greeting from Spain this morning, a speeding fine for 63 in a 50, cost Euro100 with a 50% discount if paid within 20 days.
The payment procedure was as clear as mud but I managed to pay it, Hopefully?
Yes, I was in the wrong and paid, what pissed me off, if we are no longer part of EU, Why are DVLA giving my details away?.
I have not had a speeding ticket since 16 years of age on a motorcycle.

My guess is that the DVLA sold your details. I have no evidence of that but I would not put it past them.

I got flashed by a speed camera in Karlsruhe in Germany in August.

Havn't heard a thing 🤷

Wonder if I'll get stopped when I go back next March 🤔

Graydo

I've no critair haven't registered for any emission zones etc ,don't have a Dartford tunnel account etc. Have never had any speeding fines from Europe or any fines for entering low emmision zones which It's likely i have done at some point. I've had a few parking tickets but have bin filed those.

I'm very rarely over 60mph so if I have ever triggered a camera it's been one of the ones entering towns or wherever when the limit has been up and down like I whoors knickers.

How do you get around the Dartford toll or aren't you the registered keeper?

The other thing that comes to mind is the crit air certificate where you supply details of your vehicle to French authorities

I havent got one of them and I havent had a speeding fine in France 🤔

He changes vehicles so often.

But maybe not now that he has fallen in love with his 'Quality' Flair. He will have to be more careful - oh no he won't as he has no address to send the fines to.

So Tam, what address are you using for DVLA fo V5c and driving licence? And for insurance? Do tell.

I can beat that, 5 from Hungary, not speeding fines but emission zones. 2 separate e-vignettes bought and paid for our new van. Idiot here only entered one digit incorrectly and compounded it because the info had been saved when I bought the 2nd one for our return journey.

Each one is £100 approx and is managed by EPCplc and I’m appealing as there should be a reduced fee of “only 1170HUF” plus the admin fee so it should be £250 instead of £500.

Merry bloody Christmas! If the appeal takes the 60 days we won’t actually be in the country though…

Only ever had one speeding ticket.

A1 heading East out of Paris.

Annoyingly, I know the spot where the gendarmes sit in wait.

I got distracted by a Big Citroen sat on my tail whilst I was 150 in s 130 zone.

I pulled in to let the Citroen driver pass, he sped off and I got pulled.

Does the same ally to France?
No.
The French use other means to get your info. Dart crossing,EPC plc etc;

Terrible company TFL's registration company & runs tolls for many eu states ,is a UK & EU parking/toll fine debt collector & they have no qualms about using illegal, fraudulent & underhand methods to extract money
had a speeding fine from spain paid up 50 euro but no points:xThumb:
If on the autovia then no points anyway for anyone if you are doing under 151kph.Just the 100€ fine with 50% reduction.

Ok if we are playing top trumps.
When we were in Iceland (the country) i got done for doing i think 96 (not sure) in a 80, only £330 on the spot fine. There you go.
