What’s the places called so I can search thanks..
For car parts and accessories 👍🏼

The Feu Vert i used to use a lot near Alicante on the 332 (San Joan) had a good stock of parts.

A Spanish motor parts shop is called "Auto -recambio" Many can be found in areas where car showrooms, both new and old are located. Industrial areas...and like written above...in Commercial centres...Feu Vert etc, but they seem to stock fancy stuff like flashing lights, batteries, steering wheel covers and roof racks for putting skis on...and snow chains...lots of snow chains...very snowy country is Spain...Air fresheners forgot them..🤔🇪🇺

I want some thicker cable for my inverter, one of my crimped joints is getting warm…🤔

I could just recrimp it but I thought I’d go a bit thicker to be sure to be sure…😎
How warm is warm? After 10 mins on 2000w mine go to 50 degrees C...

Never seen a Feu vert or norauto ? Here we just have to hunt down parts shops that will order stuff in.

Just smiffy cable is available from any electric shop ,assuming they aren't 'trade only' suppliers or any type of ferreteria (ironmongers) or brico shop .even the chinese shops sell cable off the roll. or leroy merlin

I’d head towards an electrical shop as you say.

Or even buy some jump leads and chop them up.

Buy automotive cable not domestic...I found it hard to buy locally to us...but for quality I bought mail order... especially if you want 16mm2 or bigger..
Solar panel outlets might be a good option for thicker cables...

What thickness do you recommend Lenny HB

Renogy 1000w inverter from my two exide es900’s

When it was just me it was all fine for one cup in the 750w kettle, now there two of us the kettle works for longer so I noticed one joint gets warm to hot so it needs re-crimping but I thought I put some better cable on instead…

It’s not a problem as it is as it’s all fused but I want it done properly and no worries…

Cables only 15" long.

Just smiffy

I’m very disappointed in your lack of forward planning 🤷‍♂️

All this should have been checked out prior to setting off 🙄

I expect a higher standard from you.
Consider yourself told off 🤔😂

Ignoring the fact that with a 1000 watt load you will considerably shorten the life of your batteries, try not to use more than 500 watts max.
To take the full load with such a short cable run 16 mm sq will be fine.

Think I’ve already got 16mm…🤔 what’s the next one up…

25 mm sq but 16 mm would only give a 1% volt drop at 1000 watts even allowing for inverter efficiency.

Hmm, might cut it and re-crimp then as it’s only one lug that gets hot…🤔

I don’t like anything getting too hot and that’s why I found it as I check the wiring frequently…😎

If the cable isn't getting hot probably a poor crimp.

Yeah I think it could be, but I haven’t got my big crimper with me, I was hoping one of these shops sell them and I could do a sneaky crimp in the shop …😆
