It's not what you drink it's where you drink it. I drank a pint of Estrella at a bar in benidorm last year and it tasted like the food of the gods. Exquisite. Strangely no other Spanish lager has even come close to the fabulous flavour of that particular beer. Even in other bars no other Estrella tasted as good as that one.

Thank you for your advice on Spanish Dark Beer. I'm having a Can or 2 of Turia Which was recommended by you Lovely Ale Drinkers
When in Spain, I like to visit Lidl and drink their own brand 'Argus' beer which has about 4 varieties including 'Negra' a dark beer which is nice on it's own as long as it's served cold....
Or I often mix it with one of their lighter beers in a pint glass.

Sounds strange, but one of my favourite nibbles to accompany it is home made guacamole (a crushed ripe avocado, sprinkled with lemon juice) eaten on those very hard 'Regaña' biscuits !!

Madri's made in Tadcaster by Molsen-Coors (just in case anyone's wanting to boycott Yank stuff !) Not sure if any of it's actually made in Spain at all though ?

There are several Estrella brands just means star in Spanish. Estrella damm, Estrella lavante, and Estrella Garcia to name but three!

Like that stuff from a bottle, don't think I've tried it on draft.
