No wonder that some reports say it's getting much harder to find pitches, the bloody Spanish are camping on our Spanish campsites!

Spain's campsite industry continues its rapid growth, setting new records in 2024. According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and the Spanish Federation of Campsites (FEEC), the sector welcomed over 10.2 million travellers and recorded nearly 50 million overnight stays, marking a 3% and 4.2% increase, respectively, from 2023.

Over the past five years, traveller numbers have surged by 23.5% and overnight stays by 21%, while the past decade has seen a 52.5% rise in visitors and a 43.6% increase in stays. Both domestic and international travellers contribute to this growth. Since 2015,
Spanish camper numbers have risen by 41.1%, while foreign visitors have grown by 75.4%, with a significant 41.5% increase since 2019.

The trend is also reflected in spending patterns. In 2022, revenue in the sector grew 26% compared to 2019, reaching €1.32 billion. Campers typically spend 35% of their budget on accommodation, with the remaining 65% allocated to dining, local purchases, and experiences.

I can see pitch prices rising, especially coastal pitches, market forces and all that.
The acsi prices seem to rise annually now and some of them aren’t even in nice places.🤷‍♂️
I’ve said it before I’m sure I’ve missed the golden age of motorhoming🤷‍♂️😔😔

Yep... we've been saying the same for some time...
Spain is booming..and hasn't suffered one bit from the happenings that many thought would effect the tourist industry..
Spain remains one of the best options for tourism at any time of the year...so much diversity....
