Spain new covid rules

Thanks for the info, that sounds an easier option than going somewhere for an Antigen test. Excuse ignorance, but is this LFT the same as an Antigen test (required for entry to France)?
Yes

This is from the UK Gov website as of 20:11 last night [4/12]:

Overland travel and transit

Spain’s land borders are open, however travel restrictions, border controls and testing requirements may be in place depending on the country you are travelling from and whether you have visited a ‘risk country’ in the previous 14 days. Overland travellers from France (excluding children under the age of 12 years old) who wish to enter Spain by road or rail, may be required to present one of the following documents on entry:
  1. a certificate or document certifying you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  2. documentation certifying that you have undertaken a diagnostic test (e.g. PCR, LAMP, TMA or antigen test) and tested negative 48 hours prior to crossing the border into Spain
  3. a medical certificate certifying that you have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months prior to travel

Entry requirements EU citizens, accompanying family members, residents of Spain and essential reasons for travel to Spain

There are different entry requirements for EU citizens and any accompanying family members, including UK citizens and other non-EU citizens who are travelling with EU family members (including for tourism). Entry requirements may also vary if your reason for travel to Spain falls into one of the categories listed as ‘essential’ on the ‘Entry requirements for entry in Spain from third countries’ - section ‘a’ to ‘i’ - on the Spanish Ministry of Health ‘Travel and COVID-19’ page. This includes residents of Spain. If you are an EU citizen, an accompanying family member of an EU citizen or a resident of Spain, or if one of the other exemptions listed applies to you, you will be required to present one of the following on entry:
  1. a certificate or document certifying you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  2. documentation certifying that you have undertaken a COVID-19 nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) test (e.g. PCR, TMA, LAMP or NEAR) within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain, or an antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival, and tested negative
  3. a medical certificate certifying that you have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months prior to travel

We had ours on Monday and showing on the app yesterday

We also had our Booster jab, but in France it isn't officially recognised until seven days after vaccination, in the interim period you have to use your existing Health Pass showing the two previous jabs

When we returned from Spain/France we used UKHealthtesting.com for our 2 day antigen test. not sure if they are doing a test for entry to France.

The tests were delivered at 16.30 on day two, tests completed and images returned to them (email) and then we received our certificates at 17.40 and all for £14.99 per test

Just checked. they charge £19.99 for departure test
