Have lived in Spain since 2003 and have travelled extensively throughout the peninsula in that time, including Portugal. The networks of roads in Spain are exceptional and quite frankly it is seldom necessary to go near a toll road unless by choice. Doubt that we have used toll roads more than 4/5 times, always by choice never through necessity.
Would much prefer to see a resource such as this dedicated to Portugal.
