We're in Calahonda, been here over a month, won't be going anywhere for at least another month...
Pubs, Restaurants, Cafes ect have to shut at 18.00 if they open at all, allowed to travel in Local Region but not in or out of 219 towns in Andulicida...

Here the ones closest to Malaga Region...

New restrictions announced on Friday by the Junta de Andalucía regional government to curb the "explosive" spread of the third wave of coronavirus include a ban on travel into and out of municipalities with a Covid-19 incidence rate of more than 500 per 100,000 peoplein the last 14 days.

Across Andalucía, 219 towns and villages fall into this criteria.

In Malaga province, the towns set to be affected are: Alameda, Alcaucín, Alfarnate, Alfarnatejo, Algarrobo, Algatocín, Alhaurín de la Torre, Alhaurín el Grande, Almargen, Álora, Ardales, Arenas, Benamocarra, Benarrabá, Canillas de Albaida, Cartajima, Cañete la Real, Comares, Coín, El Borge, Faraján, Gaucín, Genalguacil, Igualeja, Manilva, Moclinejo, Mollina, Monda, Ronda, Salares, Sayalonga, Teba, Villanueva del Rosario, Villanueva del Trabuco and Vélez-Málaga.

Terrible behaviour..how an individual deals with this I cannot say...for me I would call the police....I do not know the place where your refer too...is it staffed? If so then the police could be called and action taken against them for failure to control the situation...

Hi ,there is staff here, normally one in the office. Most people are being sensible and keep the 2m rule but you will always get the ones that don't.The police have been in a couple of times for a drive around, but i think are very overworked and under staffed. We are well spaced out with 2 pitches each so don't feel unsafe.

Valencia community bars and restaurants closed except takeaway, all business close at 6pm except supermarkets and pharmacies, only 6 people socialising , all sports facilities closed except professional athletes, we still travel in the whole of the Valencia community. 🙂
They have asked for the curfew to be made 8pm, but still 10.00pm at the moment. 🙂

So doesn't make any difference to us, we haven't been using bars and restaurants, and when socialising its round each others homes and only 4 people at a time. 😁 Bob.

We used to have a timeshare in Calahonda can’t wait to sit on the sand in Cabo Pina once again 😀

and if you see the biggest cargo ships in the world coming into Felixstowe from China and empty containers going back, we are again buying huge amounts from China , I try now to avoid buying anything made in China , but that's where our businesses have to buy goods from as we produce s-d all
Very difficult to avoid,,buggers make everything and most of it is plastic.BUSBY.

All I know is our golf course might be closed tomorrow, golf is not a mixing sport you say hello on the 1st you don’t see them again until you say goodbye on the 18th 😂🤣

Are you staying at Camping Mar Minor ? Do you know if they have finished the swimming pool yet ?
We are staying at area narejos. We were going to camping Mar Menor but we stayed here in the end. The pool at CMM is finished but not open and hasn’t been since we got here in October due to the virus I assume.

If that's the one beside San Javier Airport it's showing on their website.
It's the one on the road leading up to the strip. Huge site with over 2000 pitches. Bit of a marmite place. Many people love it, but one week was enough for us. We won't be going back.

peterc10 We seem to be at cross purposes.
Camping Mar Menor is sited at Map Ref. N37.767524, W0.818366
This is the site found on Park4Night. It certainly does not have 2000 pitches (more like 200)
Although on the same site as a previous campsite, the new owners have started all over again.
We visited it 18mths ago and there were plans in place do develop the site further.
The new owners have installed wonderful 'facilities' and the installation of the pool was in the pipeline
for last year which they have obviously installed.

Sorry must have had a brain f**t. I was thinking of Camping La Manga, which is on the Mar Menor

No need for apologies. (would have responded sooner but I was jumping through admin hoops trying to change E and G suppliers)

Whereas La Manga is EXACTLY as you say, marmite and huge, the Mar Menor site is a breath of fresh air, Big pitches, lovely facilities and, if you're a military plane nut, you can watch the Spanish Military training right above your head from the now militarised San Javier airport. I appreciate that the latter isn't for everyone but, because the campsite is on the side of the runway, it isn't that noisy.

Please don't think I am spoiling the party but what about the 90 day stay?

Yes as Martin said, essential shops only after8pm tonight. We can still go anywhere in the lorca municipality though. Just put paid to my haircut tomorrow .
I should clarify this as it was badly written yesterday leading ke to think everything had to shut except essential businesses after 8pm last night.Even my wife thought the same so it was quite disconcerting to see everything open this morning. It is actually all businesses must close at 8pm every night , except supermarkets, farmácias, vets .
So everything is open just a shorter day. Bars shut at 6pm here.
So I can go & get my haircut.

Who gives a toss about a swimming pool on a campsite.
Please don't mention swimming pools again 😃

Know the area a little as we visited La Ribera a a couple of years ago in the spring, but did not stop and continue heading South. Nice little holiday town, but many places were still closed. We saw the aerial acrobatic team training. Have added the site to my saved list and may have a look once we get down there again.

Yes I was aware of that, but it could have been imported here by Travelers , sorry if I seem sceptical
What if the source was from illegal immigrants crossing the channel in dinghies, rescued by Border Force vessels, then taken to UK establishments where they are 'processed'?

I totally agree about the sh*t they produce , the Felixstowe dock is owned by the Chinese, the big container cranes are Chinese, and, they as a Maintenance guy told me they are crap, that speaks volumes
The worlds biggest Container Ship which can carry 23964 Twenty foot containers arrived at London Gateway on the Thames a few weeks back with mostly containers from China. Ships are now arriving at London Gateway every day and mostly are Chinese Imports.
