I was reading through the threads on the Camperkev post about his planned road trip and got a couple of tips for my upcoming trip for 3 wks at the end of sept into Oct. A couple of years ago I did a trip to the Spanish med coast and it was ok but tbh got more from the north on the way home. So this trip we plan to get the ferry to Santander and turn right. The trip is with 2 couples me and my wife in our Autosleeper Fairford and friends in a 5th wheel. Last time we had lots of issues getting our friends 5th wheel in some of those small spaces down south, hopefully not too bad in the north. The plan is to aim for the area around Currás. Day 1 just a short sprint to Playa de Oyambre which is a great spot for a few nights taking in a day trip for Picos etc. Then heading for Ribadesella for a couple of nights before heading south west to Currás.
Any tips for stop offs and nice places to see would be great. I don't want to miss anything worth seeing on the way across. Also we haven't planned the trip back to Santander and not sure if we should head inland? I do hope the weather is not too bad at the start of October.
