Good day. We both retire in Novemeber and are planning to go to Southern Spain, starting our journey about the 16 December. We intend to travel through France, then across Spain to Portugal and enter Spain again throgh the area of FARO, then off to Marbella for a while. Just wondering if anybody has done a similar route during th winter months and what pitfalls they mauy or may not have come across.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Dave there are literally thousands of us doing similar trips every winter.

Some get the Portsmouth / Santander ferry and then dash down to the south, others meander through France, Spain and Portugal.
France can be difficult in the winter if you want to use campsites as most of them seem to close around September but not a problem if you use the aires (in villages not the motorway! :Eeek: ).
Also the weather in France can be very much like the weather in UK - even in the south!

Pitfalls? Can't think of any at the mo but I'm sure someone will be along with some soon!:Wink::Wink:
