Half of us on this forum might be very happy to survive to New Year 2025, never mind plan for it.

We have spent some of the last few winters in the Canaries and while Tenerife has been mentioned the South where most of the flights land is very touristy, so consider some of the other islands like La Palma, Gran Canaria and La Gomera which we have visited, plus Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. All those have direct flights except La Gomers, where one needs to fly to Tenerife South airport and then go by catamaran, maybe not the choice for 1 week.

I think our choice for returning to those other islands would be La Palma, despite the volcanic eruption it suffered recently, but only affecting parts of the south.

We just spent last Christmas...
If you are going without the van then Tenerife is a great bet, 4 hour direct flight from most regional airports, 24 degree sunshine, lovely hotels and great fish restaurants. We are just back from a sunshine top up week! Off to Madeira in 2 weeks for more of the same, bit more of a gamble, could get a week of rain!

21°C in Benicassim today. Sat on the beach watching the world go by. Might have to go for a beer in happy hour later.

We just spent last Christmas on Malta. Not as warm as Canaries but warm enough to feel comfortable outside for a coffee/wine in middle of the day. Flight is a bit shorter.

Cyprus would be similar to Malta, but longer flight from UK.
