One of those words will catch someones attention.

My current set up.. EBL 220 with lead / gel setting, Votronic 250 solar regulator feeding leisure and cab battery via the EBL and 2 x Varta 95a lead batteries.

Considering 2 x 100amp Lithium replacements. Mainly because i picked 2 up cheapish.
The Votronic has a lithium setting so no issues to change that over ref solar charging, HOWEVER does that then have an affect on the lead cab battery ? I know the Votronic only gives a 1amp trickle to the engine battery.

I contacted Schaudt ref the EBL and they said to leave it on lead charging. Not ideal but i have the option to turn it off and have a stand alone 12v charger with lithium if needed.
Most likely i will also get a Victron orion 30amp B2B charger but what are the "experts" view on just leaving it on the standard (2014 Fiat) non smart alternator.

Sits back and awaits Fun input to confuse me further..
ps. remember i am a poor non worker awaiting pension day in 15 months time so no buy this, buy that..

Set the Votronic MPP to lithium. The vehicle lead acid battery will get the correct charge from the MPP. This is what I’ve done - no problems at all.

You could install a Votronic 30A B2B which can be wired into the back of the EBL using the existing cabling (but do check your fuse and cable ratings). The Votronic B2B will charge the starter battery when the leisure battery is charging.

Personally, I would not consider installing 2 x 100Ah lithiums without a B2B.
