Good morning

We have an existing solar on the roof (80w) and a portable 200w panel
I wanted to put these separate into the victron mppt100/30
Can I put the negatives into the controller and use a 3way switch for the positives to switch them over when needed as the current 80w panel will pull the other down ?

I have my portable panel direct to the battery as it has it's own solar controller ...
I installed an Anderson connector on the skirt of the motorhome, which also now gives me an external 12v connection, which I use for a tyre inflator or the Starlink

We don’t have a controller on the portable panel and would rather use the victron mppt

I have a 3 metre lead to manoeuvre

I think a switch like that will work OK.

Alternatively the 80W panel will work even from the smallest Victron MPPT, which is a SmartSolar 70/10, so you could get one of those just for the roof panel and wire it to the batteries. The two MPPT outputs will play nicely together, and won't drag each other down.

This is the way. The switch-solution is actually just another way for the roof panel to pull down the portable panel, since the net power gain with the switch is then portable minus the rooftop.

Or as you are talking comparatively low wattage A cheap PWM controller for one set.Probably easiest put on the back of the folding one( just as many folding come with)

If the victron mppts have Bluetooth they can be configured to talk to each other and any other victron devices.

That's what he means fit a separate controller. I've also done the same to use my portable panel whilst my roof mounted panels have their own controller.
