Is it possible to connect one string of solar panels ie 4 x 100 watt wired in parallel, and then split them to connect 2 charge controllers and therefore 2 batteries? This is only a query as to whether it can be done at this stage. Thanks for any imput.

I don’t think simple cable division will let you control how much will go to each controller so you could overload either or both

It would be simpler to connect both batteries in parallel ,assuming they are similar types.or connect one to the other via a battery master .
Some charge controllers allow 2 batteries to be connected to charge each separately,ie have 2 battery terminal outputs.

Thanks for the reply.Unfortunately it isnt possible to connect the 2 batteries together as one of them is an enclosed solar generator(Power bank)

Does the power bank not allow you to charge another 12v battery from it.? I thought they did.
What controller have you got btw.

Think of it if one battery is low the other is fully charged, all the charge would go through one controller, that could be ok if the controller is able to cope with that amount of current.
But you have no control over what goes through either controller.

My main battery is an EZA with a built in charge controller. My solar generator also has a built in charge controller.I was hoping to charge both from my roof mounted panels.

It's either parallel or series....not both.
You could wire in a pair of solar controllers with output on each going to its own separate battery
