Fiat Ducato Mooveo
Anyone recommend a firm in the north east of England that can advise and fit a solar panel to my Fiat Ducato?

Cheers

Been quoted this from a local firm. I have absolutely no idea if its a good price or not. Can anyone guide me?

“The prices are as follows:-

100w solar panel – Supply and Fit £570.00 including VAT

180w solar panel – Supply and Fit £678.00 including VAT”

Its all about the labour, you can get a 100w solar panel from reputable manufacturers for less than a ton.

does the cost above include and MPPT solar controller if so which one

Very approximately....

150 watt panel £130 per panel
MPPT controller £125
Cables, glands & feet £60
Sticky stuff £20

But how much is trade expertise in fitting worth to you?

We fitted our own about 4-5 years ago now so the cost was a bit less than todays. After reading some horror stories of how some are fitted (quick dab of glue and that’s it) I decided to fit my own. As long as you follow manufacturers instructions for the ‘sticky stuff’ doing it yourself is much more satisfying.

You can buy a kit without the glue for between £150-£250 (120W to 240W) from Amazon (other stores are available) which is a lot less than you’ve been quoted - plenty of people on here to give you advise, this is where I got all the help when I fitted our two panels and MPPT controller.
