Any recommendations for a solar power pck for our mobile phones - for when we go walkies ? Want one that does actually charge via the sun :-)

Unless your walkies mean you are off grid, without access to any charging source for quite a few days, I think I'd have a small powerbank type battery for recharges. It's going to be a lot smaller and portable than any solar panel. And then you can recharge the battery from your motorhome, or other source when you get back.

Have a look at some of the Anker Power Bank / Power Core stuff on Amazon. I've had one for a few years now, still going strong, and can recharge not just the phone, but quite a few other little electronic things.

the small actual case size chargers never did any good for me, slowed the drain down thats all, but I believe you can get ones that hang off your backpack when walking now that are better

Also lots of similar but smaller items on ebay, which is where I've bought from.
(NB, smaller = cheaper & lighter but less capacity! Depends on personal priorities.)
But why not consider a combo like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/33481717...d=link&campid=5338547443&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

Unless you lay them out on the ground in the middle of the day, they don't produce much power. Too often you're facing the wrong way or you're at least partially shadowing the panel. As mentioned, a power pack that you charge when you get back is far more practical.

If you need to recharge your phone part way through a day I suggest you need a new phone.
Even with heavy use mine lasts a whole day.

My Samsung has a power saving feature that gives 150 hours of standby battery.

Not so with the smaller models.

I am on 45% now and it’s a relatively new phone.

But, it’s small and light so I can’t complain.

I also get a lot more battery life (on a Samsung) by taking manual control of the screen brightness instead of the 'automatic' setting. I keep it normally just bright enough to get by & only turn up for specific short reasons.

There is a brightness slider but I have an app just called 'brightness' with six handy pre-set levels on my home screen, it's one of the first things I always install when getting a new phone.
