Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and have just bought a used Sunlight 600 Cliff 6m and looking forward to going off grid this summer in Europe!
The van doesn't as yet have any solar panels, just has one lead acid leisure battery under the driver's seat.
I was wondering if anyone has added solar to a Sunlight 600 and if so how did they approach the job?....I have much to learn
Here's a pic of a Sunlight van with an array of panels, ref:
It appears they are using brackets that attach to the Thule awning and the mushroom bolts (roof rack) on the far side.
I can somewhat see how the long panel works, the long panel must have a rail underneath else it would have to be exactly the right length?
As to the smaller panels, I can't see any fixings on the sides near the rear skylight....could they just rely on the awning side fixings ? I would have thought the panels would bounce.
Thanks in advance.
Charlie
