Solar Panels - Connect in Parallel or Series

I'm installing 3 x 100W panels on my motorhome roof connecting to a Victron 100/30 Solar Controller. I'm think on connecting them in parallel. My understanding is that if you connect them in series and one panel is in shade (which could happen on a campsite) then the whole array is affected.

Any thoughts?

Yes you are correct, series is slightly more efficient in low light conditions but parallel is preferable on a Motorhome for the reason you state.
