Has anyone fitted Solar panels to a Burstner Ixeo Time 590 - the one with the curved roof? I'm hoping to fit a couple of 100W rigid panels and would probably have to use this area of the roof. Not sure if it's possible or indeed a good idea. Many thanks.

I would use semi flexible solar panels and stick them down with silicone. I have done this a number of times over the years and they have worked well and easy to fit. Also they will follow the contours of the roof, so you can't see them from the ground. Make sure they don't have eyelets on them, as some do and these rust over time.

Many thanks for your suggestion. I had considered these but have read a lot of bad reviews regarding overheating and premature failure. So not so keen.

I have never had an overheating problem or failure and I have had them fitted for 6 years on my old motorhome and they have been on my new one for 3 years. I have read those comment before but I haven't experienced any problems and I have had them in 38 deg days in France in summer. Also I have them on my Caravan and campervan here in Australia at times at 40 deg. Both lots have been on for 6-7 years. We use our motorhome in the Uk for 5 months each year the rest of the time we are here. Just make sure you buy good quality german one that are sold on ebay.

Thats good to know so may have to revisit semi flexibles. Haven't actually looked at manufacturers or prices due to the negative posts I have read.

As long as the curve is not too short then they will be fine.

A mate got flexible ones and they died after a year. Not saying they all will, just that he had first hand experience of them being rubbish.
